  • The holographic film itself is transparent like regular glass, but it selectively interacts with light at specific angles and wavelengths. It reflects only the projected image from the projector toward the viewer while allowing ambient light and background scenery to pass through. As a result, the image appears to float in mid-air, creating a striking and immersive visual effect.

      Technical Principle   

       

Holographic display technology utilizes an optical principle that transmits light while projecting a holographic image, effectively overcoming the limitations of traditional transparent displays. This approach does not involve making the screen itself transparent; rather, it attaches a specially engineered holographic film to glass to maintain transparency while delivering a clear image. This system is composed of the following core technological elements

- High Brightness Projector

This projector uses a light source significantly brighter than conventional projectors to project images onto the holographic film. Thanks to this high-brightness projection technology, clear images can be displayed even in bright, daytime environments.

- Holographic Film 

This is a specialized film attached to the glass. Its role is to transmit ambient light while simultaneously reflecting the image projected by the projector. This film acts as the transparent screen, converting the glass into a holographic display.

Optical Design Technology

Traditional transparent OLEDs have inherently high production costs due to sophisticated panel manufacturing processes and complex structures. In contrast, our solution is realized by affixing a specially engineered optical film onto existing glass surfaces (such as windows or storefronts) and integrating it with an external projector.

This innovative structure drastically reduces the complexity of hardware installation and maintenance expenses. As a result, the total deployment cost is reduced by a groundbreaking factor of 1/20th compared to traditional transparent OLED solutions. This substantial cost reduction significantly lowers the barrier to market entry, especially for setting up large-scale digital signage networks or expansive storefront installations.

Transparency displays must contend with bright ambient light, making visibility (luminance) a critical competitive factor. While traditional transparent OLEDs are self-emissive, they face limitations in achieving high brightness levels.

Our film is engineered to selectively reflect the powerful light from a high-performance projector at specific angles. This ensures sufficient visibility even in brightly lit outdoor environments subjected to strong sunlight. Consequently, the brightness (luminance) is improved by more than 2 times compared to existing transparent OLEDs, ensuring that content remains clearly visible in the brightest external conditions.

 

- Maximized Environmental Integration: Over 90% Transparency

 

The ultimate goal of any transparent display is flawless integration with its environment. Our holographic film offers outstanding transparency of 90%, providing a viewing experience virtually identical to regular glass when content is not being displayed.

This resolves the low transmittance issue (often only 40-50%) found in traditional transparent OLEDs, maximizing the intrinsic value of transparency by not obstructing merchandise inside a store or the background scenery. The high transparency lends a powerful sense of immersion and three-dimensional depth, making the holographic video appear to genuinely float in mid-air, completing a next-generation advertising experience.
